Verschiedene Medien melden am Morgen, dass es gestern Abend um 19:15 Uhr im Block 5 des Kraftwerk Staudinger zu einer Dampfexplosion kam . Wie RP-Online meldet, ist zunächst ein Kessel undicht geworden.

Mit 510 MW ist Staudinger 5 das größte Kraftwerk in Hessen. Befeuert wird die 1992 erbaute Anlage mit Steinkohle. Der Betreiber E.ON will im Verlauf des Dienstags weitere Informationen zum Störfall bekanntgeben.

Der Transparenz-Plattform der EEX kann entnommen werden, dass man frühstens am Ende des Monats mit einer Wiederaufnahme der Stromerzeugung rechnet.  Zu einem Redispatch (Engpassmanagement) im Zuge des Unfalls kam es bislang nicht.
